People these days are busy most of the time. Whether you’re working long hours, bringing up kids or caring for an elderly relative, it’s normal not to have much extra time on your hands. This can make it tricky to eat healthily, so it’s no wonder that many people struggle to maintain a healthy diet. However, lack of time doesn’t have to equal lack of health; there are lots of small things you can do to improve your diet even when in a rush.
A lot of people are kind of concerned about how many calories they should be eating. It’s one of the most-asked questions on the topic of nutrition.
You may wonder why I’m asking you that question. There are two reasons.
One is that I am a huge food nerd and I love to talk about it. The other reason is that, according to the WHO, iron deficiency is the most common deficiency in the world.
Iron deficiency can cause anaemia, which affects around 2 billion people (over 30% of the world’s population!), so it’s definitely worth considering whether or not you get enough iron.
